A delegation of the Basque Government has visited Cadinox facilities to see the last stage of the manufacturing process of the ESS Bilbao Monolith Vessel before being shipped to ESS in Lund. The good coordination between ESS Bilbao, AVS – Added Value Solutions, and Cadinox has been crucial for the succesfull of this challenging project. The Monolith Vessel is a key component for the construction of the European Source and It is one of the main In-Kind Spanish contribution to the European Spallation Source ERIC. The Monolith Vessel will act as structural support for the target station components, such as the wheel, the moderator or the shielding blocks. Thanks to AVS – Added Value Solutions and Cadinox for such a good preparation of the event. We are very pleased for the institutional support of a technological projecto of this nature.
