ELENA – European Low Energy accelerator based Neutron Facilities Association
ELENAIs a not-for-profit consortium formed to promote cooperation between European laboratories, companies and researchers working in the field of low energy accelerator based neutron sources.
The Association has been recently funded by the current centers JCNS, LLB, INFN, IFE, Mirrotron and ESS Bilbao.
The main goal of the association is closing the gap, which is opening in Europe by the ongoing shutdown of research re-actors, by joining forces in the promotion of Low Energy Accelerator – Based Neutron Sources as an alternative.
